The problem-solution approach

Evaluating new technologies for separating oil from water and transporting oil is a complex and time-consuming process. In most cases, this is due to the use of real emulsions, which are expensive, difficult to handle and have a significant environmental impact.

What is it?

The present invention consists of a method and experimental arrangement for the synthesis of model emulsions. These emulsions have similar properties to real emulsions, but are obtained through the reduced use of oil and surfactants.

How it works

The invention works by synthesizing model emulsions that have the same physical and chemical properties as real oil emulsions. To do this, it is necessary to obtain a model oil that has properties similar to those of real oil, such as viscosity, density and interfacial tension.
