The infusion process is automated, which eliminates the need for constant monitoring.
The device controls the internal pressure of the expander, preventing complications such as ruptures or bruising.
The device allows precise control of the volume and speed of infusion, which guarantees patient safety.
The device records data on the infusion process, which can be useful for patient follow-up.
Skin infusion is a medical procedure commonly used to expand the skin in areas where surgery or reconstruction is required. The traditional procedure involves manually injecting liquid into a skin expander, which can be painful and imprecise.
The invention is a peristaltic device that allows the automated and controlled infusion of liquid into skin expanders. The device consists of a case, a touch-sensitive monitor, a main controller, a stepper motor, a peristaltic pump, a MicroSD card reader and writer module and a pressure sensor.
The patient connects the device to the skin expander and selects the desired volume and pressure. The device then starts the infusion, monitoring the expander’s internal pressure and registering the infusion data on a MicroSD card.
