System for installing buried pipelines with reduced costs and risks

The system does not require moving heavy structures, which reduces the risk of accidents.

The problem-solution approach

The thrust force of water can cause damage to buried pipelines in regions with high water levels or in flooded areas.

What is it?

The system consists of a stowage structure, a geocomposite layer and an installation method. The stowage structure supports the pipeline and the geocomposite layer cushions the water’s thrust force.

How it works

The stowage structure is positioned over the trench in which the pipe is going to be installed. The pipeline is then placed and secured over the stowage structure. The geocomposite layer is then placed over the pipe and fixed to the stowage structure. The structure and the geocomposite layer work together to increase the pipeline’s resistance to the water’s thrust.
