About AgI

AGI is the Technology Transfer Office of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). AGI was created in 2001 with the aim of disseminating the culture of innovation to stimulate technology transfer and the strategic use of intellectual property generated within the university in order to promote socio-economic impact in the benefit of society.

AGI is linked to the Vice-Rectory for Development and Innovation Affairs, and works in direct relationship with the academic community and with other University structures focused on promoting innovation and innovative entrepreneurship, such as the Genesis Incubator and the House of Innovation (Casa de Inovação da PUC-Rio).

We cultivate innovation by connecting PUC-Rio with the business environment. Our focus is on sustainable development and, to this end, we identify and transfer to society and the business sector what is most innovative at our University, in order to increase its social, economic and environmental impact.

PhD in IT from PUC-Rio, graduated in Communications Engineering and has a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Instituto Militar de Engenharia (IME). He was General Administrative Manager at Instituto Tecgraf. Currently, Raul is also an Advisor to the Vice-Rector of Development and Innovation at PUC-Rio and Deputy Superintendent of the Pe Leonel Franca Foundation.

Lawyer, graduated in Law from Universidade Cândido Mendes and postgraduate in Business Law from PUC-Rio and in Labor Law and Process from the Toga Course. With a history of more than 10 years in innovation, she was a legal advisor and manager of the Gênesis Business Incubator and, today, works on articulating the process of forming the Intellectual Property culture at PUC-Rio, in addition to providing legal advice in various areas related to to Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I).

Provides administrative assistance, collaborates in drafting, reviewing and analyzing agreements and contracts involving intellectual property rights and technology transfer and is responsible for the service channel. Among his work, his experience in controlling the procedures and administrative flows of requests for Intellectual Property protection at the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) stands out, in addition to his knowledge of the relevant legislation.

Chemical Engineer, graduated from PUC-Rio. He worked at the X-ray Diffraction and Scattering Laboratory, Lab DRX PUC-Rio, in Process Engineering and chemical analysis using different analytical methods such as spectrometry, X-ray diffraction and chromatography. Today, its work includes the formal, technical and commercial analysis of patent applications; administrative technical assistance in Industrial Property and control of the schedule for filing protection requests, payment deadlines for annuities and technology transfer
